Besides my hobby of rehabbing my home (which I do slower than the painter on Murphy Brown), this Wizard tries to spend several hours a day as an advertising/public relations consultant, specializing in print media, direct marketing and Internet Marketing. I've been selling advertising for more than 15 years, first in radio and then in newpapers and magazines. Approximately 80 percent of my clients are health care professionals - doctors and dentists.
I produce "advertorials" for them, those infomercials that are becoming recognized as one of the most cost-effective methods of advertising.
The best advertising is that which is free. I help clients get free publicity by writing news releases for them.
Some of my clients, especially doctors and dentists, realize the value to keeping the patients they have, while their practice grows. They rely on me to publish newsletters that are mailed to patients once a month.
Last but not least, I also publish brochures. They are great to give to current as well as prospective clients or patients.
