If you want to see negative, wait till next year. It'll be a mayoral race in St. Bernard and it won't be pretty. Who do you think the green party will run? My bet is on Cindi.

Boehner's opponent has sure gone the super-duper negative route with his campaign, but that's very common nowadays.

And then who would Obamantion rail against? Geez, the Dems control the house, senate and presidency and all they have been able to do is drive up the debt, pass laws most Americans oppose and get unemployment up to 9.6%. Pass bills so they can find out what's in it, then have people who voted for it try to say they do not support it and urge their state to file a suit so their citizens will be excused.
Not that I expect it but at the same time, I would not be surprised to see the Pubs have a veto-safe majority, so that even if Obamanation vetoes a bill, Regress can override it.

Joe,
I bet if your coach gave you a sign asking you to execute a sacrifice bunt, you ignored it and swung for the fences! Yes, he wants all the tax cuts extended (which they should be) but if his only way is make sure all but the rich don't get hit with the biggest tax increase in history, he is willing to accept that.
Besides, I like John. I use to drink with his mom at Andy's after Tuesday night Bingo.

Boehner is a joke! Now he can support the Bush tax cuts expiring for the wealthiest 3% if it means the tax cuts for the rest of us stay in place. Since when does he care about the middle class. Where is the tea party on this guy. He wants to be an 8 TERM CONGRESSMAN and nobody thinks that's a problem! Hypocrites!

He sounds just like Boehner.
Did anyone else read this single sentence out of context and laugh after pronouncing his name phoentically?
Also, term limiting is a must. I'm a big fan of our representatives being those that don't want to do it--people with careers and lives outside of politics--because their sense of duty is to doing what is right and not doing what will keep them in office longest.

Sure can, and he would do even more in Congress if he were term limited there. The Enquirer has a good article about Driehaus today. What he has done doesn't sound to bad to me! And this coming from our right -winged newspaper. Chabot had his chance for what 12 years; time for someone else with fresh ideas. He sounds just like Boehner.

It was Tick, we need term limits then peolpe who get elected would have an urgency to solve problems. The people, I'm sorry to say are lazy and in some cases stupid, so career politicians seem to always win! One reason why I can't vote for Chabot.
Driehaus was term limited out of the state house can you vote for him?

Sorry Mike, but that's how our system of government works and almost every other free nation in the world. It's not socialism it's a balance of both socialism and democracy. It's just how it is and your never going to change it. We're people not animals, it's not survival of the fittest.

Joe,
I don't want to crap on anyone and no place did I ever say I wanted to - unless you consider me not wanting my tax dollars to go to bailing out failed systems and programs crapping on them.
My simple theory - don't take from me to give to you, don't take from you to give to me.

I would like to add one thing. The Bush tax cuts are due to automatically end in January. The Rebublicans who wrote the bill did this for fiscal responsibility and for debt reduction if necessary. And we sure need to reduce the debt. I think we all agree on that!
