That is what they would like you to think, more money to that school,
is not going to affect this city one way or the other since it has open
enrollment now.  The school needs to be along side the majority
of the home owner , ( BUDGET ).
What are you talking about?

NO MORE TAX LEVIES, NEW OR RENEW. STILL COST THE HOME OWNERS!!!

Brilliant!  Stand strong for not renewing a tax that directly affects the town where you live.  That money is needed for Vine st. and capital improvements already underway and for the future.

I hate to say this, but 2010 year to date expenses already exceeding income by 2 million.  Next years budget also has a 2 million defecit projected(that figure assumes levy passage).  This levy brings in 1.2 million a year. Even if levy passes, where is money going to come from?

Yes. There is a tax levy on the ballot in Nov. It has been discussed at council meetings. To put out information to support or go against the levy you would have to form a pac.
I felt that the CIC newsletter was misleading but as Al said "its easier to ask for forgiveness that permission". Also there will be a tax levy for the schools on the ballot in Fed ( i think thats the date Tricia gave me)

15
PROPOSED TAX LEVY (RENEWAL)
CITY OF SAINT BERNARD
A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the City of Saint Bernard, County of Hamilton, Ohio, for the purpose of CURRENT
EXPENSES at a rate not exceeding seven (7) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to seventy cents ($0.70)
for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2010, first due in calendar year 2011.

Found this info at the B.O.E. site.  Apparantly there is going to be a levy on the ballot.  Then I found this(CIC Newsletter 10/10):

This is not a new levy, but a renewal of the existing 7.0 mill levy that has been in place for the past 5 years.  Council has made it clear that the funds generated through the levy will be used for CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS in the city and not GENERAL OPERATING EXPENSES.

Does this sound misleading to anyone?
