Let's see: Duke will be able to read your meter without having someone, aka, a person, to read your meter. But in a about three years, Duke will be charging $6/mo. to do this - even though they will get rid of the meter readers, who probably make $25/hr. when insurance and bennies are added it.

I hope the drop in salaries and the increase in revenue will be factored by PUCO the next time Duke asks to raise rates.

it seems duke is coming in to install the smart grid into our homes......do we have a choice. Can we say no. I DONT WANT IT IN MY HOME. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON.
