Might be entertaining for the city to send the USPS honchos a letter mentioning something about buying them out under the 'blighted properties' law...if City Hall wants to write it I'll donate the stamp. Oh, wait, we'd be supporting USPS by sending that letter via mail, wouldn't we?  Cheesy

I'm pretty sure the post office is responsible - if you stretch the meaning of responsible that is.  They are supposed to keep it maintained, lets leave it at that.  Its an annual problem.

Just throwing a new topic up on the board for discussion.  With all of the recent talk about making the entrances into St Bernard noticeable, gateways into the City, I would like to know who is responsible for the groundskeeping at the Post Office?  This is one of the first things that you see when coming into St B. from the North.  There are weeds growing in the areas in the center and sides of the parking lot and building that are 4 feet tall.  It looks horrible down there.  Does anyone know if the City is responsible for this lot as it is adjoining to the Square.  I sure hope not.  If it is not the City's responsibility, then why can't the City put pressure on the Post Office to take care of that mess?  I'm actually a littlte perplexed as most if not all Federal Government buildings are well maintained.(at least they used to be)
