This year's plants

I like growing plants but this year, I want to expand beyond the normal tomatoes, potatoes and green beans. Grow some plants one normally doesn't see in Cincinnati.

First, a couple that may be grown here: bananas and peanuts. Not common, but not rare either. But...

Cotton
Rice
Jicama
Cane Sugar
Coffee

Anyone else growing unusual plants?
