Joe I have not now nor have I ever used the term slimeball liberals on any of my posts, furthermore I have never used that term as a personal attack or description of anyone on these boards,I don't have to fall to that low level of foul crudity,I'll leave that to you and your comrades, now I do accept that when writing about Demms and Libs I have used words like liar, theives, hypocrites, traitors, seditionists, socialists, fascists, even commies but normally always used in talking about their policies or plans in general, and usually get more descriptive when describing demm. or liberal members of your leadership, that I will take credit for, but the phrase liberal slimeball I don't, and until you post evidense that I have then you Joe are the liar, I have always taken care not to attack the messenger on these boards and always attacked their message, because I realized the dictates of civilized behaviour require some measure of respect for my neighbors, as well as I believe that VC had some rule, arbitrarily enforced, about personal attacks of posters. Joe yes indeed your side "won" I cannot fathom your willingness to partisapate in the destruction of our American system and values merely so you can claim victory in an election and somehow equate that with being right, America lost out in this last election, time will bare out the truth in this statement, I have never claimed that conservatives and republicans didn't share accountabillity for many of todays problems, never will I cease to attack and critise those policies, plans, and actions, that harm our country, methinks your obsession with me is overwhelming your common sense, and suggest that hanging on every word I type and taking it personally is at a minimum unhealthy, hopefully there will be more elections and my side will win, until that happens however, I will use my earned American right to disagree,Have a good day.

Let's all be honest here, while the democrats have their hand in this mess with their "everyone is entitled to own a home" philosophy and poor oversight of Freddie and Fannie, the blue print for this financial disaster can be laid at the door of the GOP and its' consisnent push to deregulate the financial market. Big bussiness and Wall St. own the GOP if you don't believe it than your are delusional. Yes I will admit the labor unions own the Democrats, but lets face it, how much power do the unions have anymore? The Great Depression was caused in part because lending institutions where merged with investing houses. Part of the recovery from the depression was the regulation of the financial sector with the creation of the SEC and the seperating of investing and lending institutions. Guess which party starting with Regan began pushing for deregulation of the financial market allowing these behemoth financial institutions like Goldman Sachs, Lehman Bros, and AIG to form? Yes, it was the GOP. They stated the deregualtion of the banking and credit markets would give the consumer more choices, instead it lead to the merger of the regional banks into large megabanks that are "too big to fail" and now come to suck at the publit tit for bailout dollars. All this while being able to to charge obscene intrest rates on credit cards with outrageous fees that would make a loanshark blush. Too blame the financial melt down on the democrats is ridiculous, these institutions should have never formed our been busted up long ago like Standard Oil or MaBell. I guess its just the righteous GOP didn't have the heart not to take the lobbyist money. The economy was tanking before 9-11 and never recovered thereafter. The post 9-11 bounce was caused by reckless spending on the part of the citizens and the government. If you look at the wages after 9-11 they were flat while peoples personal debt soared. Apparently people took Bush's go out and spend money to stimulate the economy message to heart. The problem is the bill has to paid sometime, and that time is now. Yes, GW cut taxes, but he did while massively increasing government spending and debt. How responsible is it to cut taxes then increase spending. I see no difference between GW and Obama on fiscal policy. The precedent for bailout was started by GW including the airlines after 9-11, and the much maligned AIG bailout. GW's only shot at redemption for his eight years of being asleep at the switch and allow the gouging of the American people by big oil, big business, and the contractors in Iraq, is if he some how manages to pull of a lasting peace in the middle east. However, given their thousand year history of killing one another, good luck with that. So the posters on this board may want to pull the plank out of their own eye before taking the splinter out of their neighbors.

C'mon Joe what is it to be, comedian?
or magician?
since when is it a positive to live in a state that pays more taxes and has more tax debt per capita and wrongly equate ten states pay more taxes than the other 40 combined.
Then say looky here my weekly check has 14 more dollars in it, and not count the many factors in the cost of living and current economic crises that has robbed us of much more than 14 dollars a week
,oh that's right the old democrat DIVERSION TACTIC, fact is the demms been in charge the last two plus years and as a result our economy and country has been flushed just in the last two years, who else in the world can say with pride that his party just quadrupeled the national debt in a couple months and see a positive in that? Why is it that the direction down is always up to the libsDimms, might be because of where the dimms have their heads stuck, like divers suffering nitrogen narcossis or something. As far as following Obama- bin- Lyin so far his only consistant quality is he just doesn't lie to republicans and conservatives he is an equal oppurtunity liar to his own as well , and even they have now started to cannabalize their messiah and soon will crucify him on the hill. Bill clinton, jimmy carter and all before and after have been my president, however in my opinion this usurper has partisapated in the largest conspiracy to commit fraud upon the American electorate and electoral system in the history of the U.S. is a fraud and does not have a legitimate claim to hold the office as president of the U.S., I may add that I will be the first to say I am sorry and cease any and all complaints against him, when and if he were to ever stop spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on dozens of lawyers to prevent his birth records (transapency?) and BIRTH CERTIFICATE (transparency?) from being released to the PUBLIC (TRANSPARENCY). Why Not? Messiah proclaimed he will have the most transparent government in the history of our country,Obama Bin Lyin the only entity obama bin lying has been transparent to has been Al Quida and our enemies, And Joe I would never use that kind of language you used in giving that apt description of libs, and furthermore I will not dispute your description of the libs, you have that right, I have never felt the need to use such language on this thread, nor any other for that matter, so rest assured you and comrade bigdog can have the holes ,I'll choose to stay up here with my "talents on loan from god, lofty Chesty Puller High Chair, typing on my Golden EIB keyboard". I will never choose to be a comrade in your socialist(fascist) society, PROUD INDIVIDUAL LIVES HERE. Have a good day at work.

Mike, when the Republicans put forth a plan of there own then maybe we can have a debate. The last election was a total repudiation of the last eight years so now it's our turn! And your tea parties just don't make sense to me because all Obama has done with taxes is lower them on 95% of us. My bi-weekly pay check has gone up $28. Also we currently have some of the lowest tax rates of the last 30 years including the 80's when your hero was president.

Joe,
If his and his party's plan is to turn us into the United Socialist States of America, then I want him to fail and fail miserably. I do not believe in "from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs." I don't like banks being coerced into taking bailout money and then being told how to run their business.

Here's an interesting fact for ya Nemesis; of the top 10 states receiving federal tax dollars, 8 of them are red states, and guess who the top 10 states are that pay the most in federal tax, you guessed it blue states. So I would think you conservatives would be thanking us so called liberal slim balls as you call us, for supporting you.
Hey, here's a suggestion, why don't you just try for a little bit, to be the true American you claim to be and stand with our new President and if he fails then fire away, if not I suggest you climb back into your hole and let the rest of us move on!!!!

"According to official statistics 41% of your political persuasion pays no taxes, nor has any financial investment in the health or welfare of America". Care to share the source of your "Official Statistics"? I do not remember a question about my "Political Persuasion" on my tax forms.

I was down there at the Tea party. My signs had two themes: one of the local boondoggle issues that Cincinnati's leaders are doubtless chomping at the bit to throw federal handouts at, ($200 million trolley) plus something humorous:
'I'd rather see Mayor Mallory pitch in the World Series, than let city clowncil handle stimulus money!!'

Joe According to official statistics 41% of your political persuasion pays no taxes, nor has any financial investment in the health or welfare of America, and apparently a good portion of your leadership doesn't like to pay their taxes as well, eventually some Americans come to the realization that some things are more importent than self and thus are willing to sacrifice for the courage of their convictions.

I cannot make it, please be courteous, be forceful and beware those seeking to usurp or diminish your efforts. Keep it local, focused and immune to political interlopers. Thank you!
