I don't know. But if you ask Bill Ungruhe (spelling?) he can tell you. His son won a scholarship, BTW.

I heard Annunciation has found the money to stay open, lets see if the church moves the bar to milk more money out of them.

Is it true their tuition will double next year?

If ever there was an organization in need of some introspection, it is the Catholic Church. I was at St. Clement when the St. Charles kids came. I felt bad for them, especially the 7th and 8th graders that had been at St. Charles since 1st grade. It sounds like they are pretty determined to shut St. Pete down and that is a shame.

excuse me VC....I think I would look much better in that car than both of you.  All I want for Christmas is a $100 raffle ticket!  What a great Christmas present!

Kittycat,

Are we related?  Roll Eyes

As Les Wilson opined thousands of times, and what I have found to be 100 percent true: The Valley Takes Care of Its Own. The school, the church - both are Valley Insitutions.

Irregardless what Father Mike seems to feel (and maybe hope), I really think the school will find a way to stay open. And for the record, I would look better than The Tick in that car!  :reindeerd

My family and I are left speechless at the generosity and love the Rack's have for the Reading community, for their parish, and most importantly for the children of Sts. Peter and Paul.  We hope that others will find their way of being generous.  Please continue to pray for the success of the Save Our School efforts!

To help raise the funds, Bonnie and Gerry Rack are donating a nice car - see the picture. I don't have details on ticket sales yet, but I (or maybe someone who knows!) will.

You can go to www.SaveStPetesSchool.org for more details on the Corvette Raffle.  Thanks to Bonnie and Gerry for being so generous! Now what can the rest of us do to Save Our School?Huh?  Give  of your time, talents and treasures. Please continue to pray

Problem This historic school is in danger of closing if needed funds are not raised. You can read about it http://www.savestpetesschool.org/

I was on the school board when St. Charles in Carthage voted (I voted NO!) to close the school. A few - very few years later the parish closed.
