Dogtown,

I've told Linda and Kelsey both, if something like this was to take place, they have some great weapons built in. A hard kick between the groin area will render almost any man immobile for a few seconds. While I hate to need to type this, I think EVERY high school in the US should make Self Defense courses mandatory.

I do hope this guy is tried as an adult, charged and convicted of rape and three counts of kidnapping and sentenced to the max on each charge, with the charges to run consecetively. Maybe after 80 years in prison, he won't feel like picking on young women.

Saw that on the news yesterday. I guess this is the park right across from the Senior Center/Library in S'ville, correct. Glad to see that the little creep was caught, but sadly it was after the fact. And the crime took place in front of her children!

Troubling to see that the victim went willingly towards a more secluded area with the attacker, because he SAID he had a gun. My advice--for what little it may be worth-- is to never go along with such a demand. Might as well put up a fight, or make some noise at least, out there more in the open.

Darn shame this young lady didn't have some pepper spray, a kubaton, a rock or big stick within grabbing distance, along with the willingness to FIGHT!

Best way to see St. Bernard is in my rear view mirror, as I quickly speed away.
