I am not sure of the status of the family at this point.  I will check with the Hartwell resident that asked me to help organize this event.  Last I heard they were trying to decide what to do..leave or rebuilt.  I will try to get this information sometime this week.  Thank you for your kind interest in helping a local family affected.

What is the status of the family now?   Can you give us a more specific list of needs?Huh

Examples:
Age, sex, sizes of children  --- we can give more appropriate items
          Adults sizes and needs....
Household cleaning, linens ( what size beds)
           Personal care items:   soap, toothpaste

If I spend money on items, I want them to be useful.

Getting 12 tubes of toothpaste is fine, except when you need soap powder too   Smiley

The fund raiser today was cut short at 3pm due to lack of donations.  I just want to offer to anyone who is interested in helping this family to contact me.  The family is being put up by the Red Cross for the next few months here in Cincinnati until the family decides what to do.  The water level mesurement in the house was 5'7".  They lost their entire household belongings.  If you are not able to contribute, please pray for this family and the thousand others like them.  Thank you.

Hartwell has a family that has been directly affected by hurricane Katrina.  Hartwell residents and the Hartwell Improvement Assoc. will be hosting a Hurricane Katrina collection on Saturday, Sept 24th from 12-4pm at the Hartwell Rec Center on the corner of Vine & Galbraith.  We will be collecting for our adopted family and for the American Red Cross.  Our adopted family left their home to come to Hartwell to stay with their parents, when they left they had 5 foot of water in their single story home.  They are currently in route to Louisana to find out what they have left if anything at all.  The Hartwell Rec Center is located on the corner of Vine & Galbraith in Hartwell.  Please help be a part in the relief efforts for these victims.  Thank you.
