BLYtheWalker,  Get someone to organize your event who is passionate and won't take no as an answer.  I have always said I am willing to help any neighborhood organize their events.

I had the pleasure of visiting Lockland for a ball game Monday, and must say your parks are beautiful.  Hats off the the Lockland Service/Public works Dept.

Congrats to Lockland residents for all the beautifying & improving your neighborhood. Any suggestions on how to get Carthage residents mobilized to improve OUR neighborhood?

The daily paper today had a nice article about Lockland and its turnaround. However, the first cleanup grant was awarded in January, 1997, not in 1998. It was the first "press conference" I covered for the paper. It was odd because the dailies and other state-wide papers that were there wrote almost entirely about the "new" type of grant. They had cookies there that were decorated with Brownfield III and I wrote they should have read Jobs - 101.

The good thing is Lockland is still growing. The village has plans to put the land alongside Anthony Wayne, the former Celotex and Leggett & Platt properties to good use.
