Covering the Heart of Hamilton County Since 1983

Gabby’s is a wonderful spot for taking a friend to lunch. It is in downtown Wyoming at 515 Wyoming Avenue. It is a delightful place that offers a delicious, quick lunch so that you can meet on your lunchtime and be back to work in no time.
Dino DiStasi is the owner of Gabby’s and is proud of his homemade fare. It doesn’t matter if it is the homemade lasagna or hand-breaded fish, it is all done by hand. Even all soups and sauces are homemade from scratch.
His love for food service began early. Dino started washing dishes at The Christ Hospital before working for a food distributor. Soon he was looking for a place that he could take over and add his ideas for culinary pleasure. That idea soon became Gabby’s and the rest is history.
Gabby’s is open for lunch and dinner during the week and has breakfast on Sundays as well as lunch and dinner fare. The hours are 11:00 am to 10:00 pm Monday through Thursdays and 11:00 am to 11:00 pm on Friday and Saturday and open 10:00 am to 9:00 pm on Sunday. Breakfast meals  include breakfast burritos, French Toast, goetta or omelets. On Saturday nights they have live music.

For the adults, there is a large selection of premium beer. If you like a particular beer, they will have it. There is a full bar to select a drink of choice from. The bartender is friendly and is not opposed to talking to you while keeping your drink full.
Business people find Gabby’s a place take their clients. The ladies of the Bridal District find it a nice place to go to rest their feet after a hard day of shopping. Families find Gabby’s a delightful place to take their children with its reasonable costs and variety of items to choose from on the menu. Gabby’s is a family business. Dino, his wife, sisters and daughters all contribute to the business.
Some of the menu items include appetizers like Crab Cakes with Remoulade sauce; loaded potato skins, homemade Saratoga Chips and much more.  The soup and salad servings are huge and delightful. The favorite item so far is the DiStasi Lasagna. I did find Meatloaf Mountain interesting. I did not try it, but would love to see it!
Don’t forget Monday night is Italian night at Gabby’s. Even so, you can still order from the menu and eat their Mediterranean Portobello sandwich or their Open Faced Roast Beef or the Vegetarian Garden Burger. The desserts include Brownie Sundae, Carrot Cake or the delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae. If you would like to see what his weekly specials include, check out the website at www.gabbyswyoming.com. They are currently offering Salmon Gabriella, half-slab BBQ Ribs and their pizza of the week as well as some new beers.
Dino and his manager, Chris Singleton offer catering too. If you have a special birthday coming up for someone or want to have a small or large reception, call Gabby’s at 821-6040. Dino or Chris can come up with the menu that will suit the occasion. Chris comes from a tremendous catering background. His ideas are savvy as well as tasty.
If you are looking for a place that offers great American cuisine with an Italian flair, Gabby’s is it. Take a friend and find a place that you will enjoy every time you go. In fact, you will probably see other friends eating there when you go. It seems that it is the place for brunch, lunch or dinner (or breakfast on Sundays) in the Valley area.
